Man of Mystery

Gregory Gregory was a life-long bachelor who had no children. Said to live in “extreme retirement” he enjoyed having a lot of privacy and did not have many guests. One of the reasons may have been because he suffered from an arthritic condition known as gout, which also forced him to live in a room on a lower floor so he did not have to exert himself climbing up stairs. It is also possible that he simply did not want other people interrupting his personal fantasy. Gregory Gregory did have a few friends, one of whom was his butler, Samuel Baguley, whom he brought with him from Hungerton Hall where the both had lived during the construction of the new Harlaxton manor.
