The First Americans at Harlaxton

This is an image of the 50^th American squadron. Two American squadrons, the 50^th and the 85^th, were stationed at Harlaxton Manor during WWI. Both squadrons were raised near San Antonio, Texas before moving to Harlaxton. These soldiers were, in a sense, Harlaxton’s first “international students.”
