Pegasus Memorial

Jesuit Pegasus CourtyardWhen the Jesuits moved into Harlaxton Manor, the memorial to the Second Parachute Battalion and First Airborne Division was bare concrete. After receiving advice from a member of the United Kingdom’s Military, Major General Urquhart, they renovated the memorial using the same colours as the division’s. The Jesuits periodically cleaned the memorial and added a crucifix to the yard behind it in honour of the division. The crucifix was moved to a cemetery in Manresa when the Jesuits left.
