Anthony Salvin (1799-1881) specialized in the Elizabethan and Tudor Gothic styles, restoring many castles and county seats (government administration buildings) that dated back to the Elizabethan period and working on the Tower of London and Windsor.

 

 

 

 

William BurnWilliam Burn

William Burn (1789-1870) preferred the Baroque and Rococo styles known as Louis Quatorze in England. Although William Burn is the named architect employed by Gregory, it is now thought that perhaps his assistant, David Bryce had a substantial hand in Harlaxton Manor’s design and construction.
