An auction catalogue detailing the contents of Mrs. Van der Elst’s “Grantham Castle” was designed and distributed. All objects from the manor were sold, including the accidental sale of Mrs. Van der Elst’s dear husband’s urn, which she kept above the fireplace in the Entrance Hall. It took her some time to locate the urn, but according to her great nephew, Mrs. Van der Elst was eventually reunited with it.
