Furnishings fit for a Queen

Long GalleryWhat is now the Long Gallery was once Mrs. Van der Elst’s drawing room. She hung many lavish tapestries on the walls and filled the room with her purchases of antique furniture from Buckingham Palace and Rufford Abbey, a fine English country estate. This room also housed furniture once owned by King Louis XV of France, purchased by Mrs. Van der Elst to add to the luxurious atmosphere of the room.
